The College of Arts and Sciences is the largest academic unit at Indiana University Bloomington.
It is composed of 40+ departments, 50+ Centers, Programs, and Institutes, while also including the Eskenazi School of Art, Architecture and Design, the Hamilton Lugar School of Global and International Studies, and The Media School.
Faculty in the College teach over 50% of the Indiana University (Bloomington) credit hours and the College occupies about 1.
3 million square feet of space in 80+ buildings on the Bloomington campus.

Job Summary Department Specific Responsibilities Reports to the College's Director of Alumni Engagement, the Assistant Director will support engagement strategies across the Office of Advancement.
In partnership with the Director of Alumni Engagement, develop and facilitate programming for alumni and friends of the College, often in coordination with College departments and programs, the IU Alumni Association, and the IU Foundation.
Coordinates events and programs that demonstrate gratitude and recognition for investments in the College.
In partnership with the Director of Alumni Engagement, executes a strategy to recognize outstanding alumni of the College through award recognition, aiming to build a lasting and meaningful relationships between recipients and the College.
Manages the logistics of the College's annual alumni awards ceremony, which includes the distinguished alumni award(s) and the outstanding young alumni award.
In partnership with the Director of Alumni Engagement, supports units within the College's efforts to recognize outstanding alumni.
Assist with the College's efforts to recognize and steward donors.
In partnership with the Director of Alumni Engagement, provides support for the Executive Dean's Advisory Board (EDAB) and the College's awards and recognition committee.
Manages the meeting logistics of the College's EDAB, and the College's alumni awards and recognition committee (in-person and virtual).
In partnership with the Director of Alumni Engagement, provides support and guidance for college unit volunteer structures.
In partnership with the Director of Alumni Engagement and the Walter Center for Career Achievement, helps coordinate opportunities for alumni to interact with students to promote career exploration (classroom visits, Connect, Luminaries program, etc.
) Manages the distribution of athletic tickets and gifts, in coordination with the College's advancement team.
Assists with the collection and input of data-related to the College's engagement, stewardship, and communication efforts.
General Responsibilities Plans, coordinates, and executes alumni volunteer projects, programs and events as a leader advisor for an assigned alumni group.
Identifies, recruits, and develops alumni to serve in key volunteer and leadership roles.
Collaborates with other university advancement officers to engage and cultivate alumni through various initiatives.
Conducts research and analyzes data to recommend key market priorities consistent with alumni association and institutional goals.
Develops best practice processes and systems for increasing alumni volunteer involvement and connection with the university.
Manages budgets; writes and edits publications and other communications.

The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus.
