Overview:
The Director, Global Pricing and Supply-Chain - MedSurg Manages, coaches, assists and implements the divisional strategies as related to DAEs and Divisional goals.
In addition to managing a team of DAE’s, this role also maintains at least one customer account to develop, service and promote growth within that Divisional target.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for maintaining a close working relationship with field-based regional and strategic accounts counterparts, divisional teams, and colleagues within the Integrated Business Solutions teams
• Manages and Coordinates the efforts, targets, training, performance and strategy of the MedSurg Divisional Account Executives
• Aligns with Clinical Sales teams to maintain common goals, strategies and targets
• Works directly with the Director, Global Pricing and Supply-Chain to implement and create the strategy for the MedSurg Account Targeting
• Works jointly with strategic divisional pricing and contract implementation teams to get maximum benefit, monitor and measure success from purchase agreements
• Works jointly with Global Pricing Implementation and Analytics Manager to coordinate efforts of managing strategic contracts
• Communicates regularly with field based Strategic/Divisional Account Executives to promote contract life cycle and strategic opportunity
• Records, analyzes, and monitors status of strategic agreements awarded and lost to develop proactive implementation plan
• Coordinates with Strategic Account Executives, Divisional Account Executives, and Regional Account Executives to maintain high awareness of signed agreements
• Completes regularly scheduled formal reports detailing performance of DAEs, in regard to their targets
• Completes regularly scheduled formal reports detailing status of active and pending contracts
• Creates proposals and presentations that encourage new business relationships and increased sales revenue from targeted accounts.
• Works proactively to complete RFI/RFP exercises and strategic pricing strategies for targeted accounts in tandem with CSD contracting and pricing team.
• Assists in managing contract negotiations with Strategic/Divisional Account targets
• Fosters relationships and effective communication between the Strategic/Divisional Account Executives, CSD, and Strategic Customer targets
• Provides awareness and support for strategic contract performance
• Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and feedback both formally through the performance management process and informally through daily discussions and interactions, while recognizing employees for their contributions.
• Ensure roles and responsibilities, performance expectations, and training requirements are developed and clearly documented and communicated to each employee.

• Meet deadlines and ensure employees complete administrative tasks such as expenses, training, reporting, policy acknowledgements, submission of performance reviews, etc.

Qualifications:
• Extensive experience in sales, marketing, product management, pricing, or corporate accounts in the medical device industry, including a significant background or experience with one or more MedSurg specialties
• Demonstrated prior experience working cross-functionally to achieve business objectives and drive efficiencies
• Demonstrated prior strategic experience working with IDN/GPO customers, agreements and contracts
• Strong computer and analytic skills with proficiencies in Excel, Business Objects and other Microsoft utilities
• Previous employee management experience or related employee oversight
• Previous experience with key targets in the regional area/territory preferred (must be prepared to discuss this experience/knowledge in depth)

Physical Requirements
•Ability to travel up to 75%.
