SAIC is seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer to support the operations of a multifaceted organization at NSWC Crane that provides unique design solutions and technical excellence.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The incumbent will have the opportunity to collaborate with other professionals, to solve technical problems, and engineer sound solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Will serve in a capacity responsible for contributing to various projects, including all aspects of the product life-cycle from concept to fielding.
All while having the opportunity to help build and maintain strategic relationships with customers and industry partners.
JOB RESPONSIBILITES:
Assess current and emerging technology to develop robust electronic/electro-mechanical capability solutions.
Translate basic requirements provided into functional designs and deliverable products.
Provide subject matter expertise demonstrated through experience in software, electrical, human factors, and electro-mechanical design development.
Effectively complete multiple tasks and projects in a timely manner, with limited supervision.
Conduct or participate in prototype development, design review process, and technical evaluation, and documentation creation as required to support capability realization.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science or related discipline, with a minimum of 2yrs experience.
Ability to communicate technical information effectively to a variety of audiences in oral or written formats.
Significant and recent technical product development experience with a background in microprocessors, digital controls, circuitry development, and software/hardware interaction.
Basic schematic design and layout skills.
Strong computer skills including Microsoft office (Outlook, Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and Circuitry/Schematic Development software I.

Interim secret clearance required to start with the ability to obtain a secret clearance.
SAIC will sponsor the clearance process.
US Citizenship required
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
Soldering/Prototyping Ability
RF knowledge, including test and measurement.
Project Management Experience
Experience assessing system safety and reliability.
Embedded programming experience with C
Ability with higher level programming I.
