TRISTAR is seeking several Engineer, Mechanical IV - for our government customer in Crane, IN
Position Description:
The Engineer, Mechanical IV shall provide engineering support in the planning, designing, and development of Depot repair strategies, certification of maintenance, designated overhaul points for MEWSD systems, procedures and plans
Position Responsibilities:
All completed data shall be uploaded into iPDM for Government Technical Lead concurrence
Review and document calibration requirements, as directed by TI, for test equipment based on equipment usage information provided by the Government Test Lead
Create and update Calibration/Measurements Requirements Surveys (CMRS) to support equipment calibration and provide the CMRS to the Government Calibration Lead and the Government Equipment Manager via e-mail
Perform analysis of environmental and safety hazards, failure causes and effects, and root cause analysis of in-service problems (including operational hazards, engineering investigation, deficiency reports, parts obsolescence, corrosion effects, and reliability degradation)
Following analysis, shall provide red line changes to processes, procedures, drawings and instructions
Provide support to the Government Technical Leads to develop, review, and update technical documentation including engineering baselines, Technical Manuals(TMs), operational manuals, Maintenance Requirement Cards (MRCs), Diminishing Manufacturing Sources & Material Shortages (DMSMS), Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Ship Change Documents (SCDs), waivers, deviations, Life Cycle Sustainment Plans, Navy Training plans, engineering drawings/schematics, and Computer Aided Design (CAD) files via iPDM
Position Requirements:
Must be able to Identify deficiencies in mechanical processes and developing improvements
Must be able to Designing and developing prototypes
Must be able to analyze and test prototypes and each revision of a device
Must be able to assist in Developing, initiating and managing all phases of projects
Must be able to prepare documentation of critical analysis and providing suggestions for correcting errors
Must be a US Citizen
An Active Secret Clearance is required or the ability to obtain one
Radar Education and Certification:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering
