Position Summary:

One minute you may be helping a project team validate a Statement of Work and the next minute you may be working with our Accounting team to support a continuous improvement initiative.
The IT Accounting Intern is responsible for the main accounting functions within IT.
This includes, but is not limited to:
* IT budget forecasting, tracking, and analysis
* Ensuring that all purchase orders are processed in a timely manner
* Ensuring that all invoices are processed in a timely manner
Essential Position Duties:
In this role you will perform functions including:
* Capital and Operations expense budget forecasting, tracking, and analysis
* Complete ad hoc analysis of vendor invoicing and payment history.
* Key point of contact with IT vendors to ensure proper invoicing is complete for a variety of projects.
* Perform Statement of Work reviews to ensure they are complete and are covered by the IT budget.
Be the direct liaison with Legal on SOW reviews.
* Process Capital Expenditure Requests, processing each request for budget matching and approvals
* Work directly with the TMH Accounting team to ensure all expenses are classified correctly and ensure all goods receipts are completed within a timely fashion.
* Plan events for IT including Community Service, Team Building, and other related events
* Assist with continual improvement activities to improve current CSPM processes
Education & Experience:
* Pursuing a degree in Accounting or Finance
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and high volume data entry
* Demonstrated creative problem solving skills with an emphasis on teamwork
* Ability to research and resolve critical issues that are deadline driven
* Motived self-started with strong attention to detail and critical thinking
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, decision making ability, and customer service attitude with emphasis on accuracy are required
* SAP experience is a plus
