Job Description This position has a flexible hybrid schedule (3+ Days on-site/week, depending on department needs).
Onboarding/initial training period will take place fully in-office at Showalter House.
The salary range for this role is $75,000-$85,000 The IU Foundation’s Accounting & Finance Department is actively seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for the gifting of securities process, working closely with development officers, investment brokers, and donors.
You will utilize your expertise in accounting, investments, taxes, research, and strategic collaboration through: Processing gifts of securities through various systems and in collaboration with Revenue Operations, Account Administration, and Development Gift Officers Supporting life income gifts by processing new gifts, terminations, tax reporting and management fees, as well as maintaining and updating donor information and gift activity Oversight and valuation of Pooled Long-Term Fund (PLTF) investments Preparing the 990-tax return, working with external tax preparers, leaders and teams across the organization, and assisting with the external annual audit Providing accounting expertise, knowledge, and an inquisitive and collaborative nature Special projects including researching future financial reporting changes, documentation of procedures, financial review, and analytical accounting projects A top candidates will shine in the application process by highlighting evidence of being a methodical and meticulous accountant, excited to collaborate with the team, and learn our systems, policies, and procedures.
